Great Opportunities

I thought I would post a few things real quick!

I came across a wonderful site. On this website it has FREE drawing lessons. What makes these lessons so unique is that they are specifically geared toward drawing the city scenes.

Now, the last plein air paint out that I went to, alot of the artists were having problems with one and two point perspective. I thought that this website would help. It has alot of FREE videos on it. So just click on FREE DRAWING LESSONS to begin drawing dynamic cityscapes.

Really Good Sales Opportunity:

Judith sent me this info on a great opportunity for artists. Now, I know the venue, and there is going to be alot of foot traffic. It is a FREE opportunity. However, some artists said that they were told that they need insurance, for a cost of $50, and some artists were told that they were not. I suggest you call. Here is a reprint of Judith's letter:

You were asking for information on art sales opportunities. I was contacted by Kim Martinez from KFROG radio station, about an opportunity on July 4th. Stater Bros, Pepsi, KFROG and the Auto Club have partnered to put together a fair type event at the Fontana Speedway. It will include music, fireworks, car cruise, and various vendors. They are having a zone for art-related vendors. Kim has contact RAA only, and they have lots of space for anyone who wants to set up a booth to show art. They aren't charging the artists to show, and aren't taking a % for anything sold. They are wanting to have a cultural side to the event, a "ladies zone", so it's not all about cars for the guys.

If anyone is interested, they should call Kim Martinez at (909..., and she will email or mail out a registration form. If you have canopies, there's space for that, or whatever set up you wish.

This is a little different from our usual art venues, but could be a good opportunity to get out there and show what you do. And, remember, it is FREE!
