Sumer is Here!Right now is the best time to get out there and paint! It is not too hot, and it is not too cold!
I want to encourage all of my readers to pick up their sketch boxes, watercolors, oils or whatever you got, and get out there and paint, before it is too hot!
Yeah - Art-A-Fair
The beach is going to be GREAT. Next week in Laguna Beach begins the Art-A-Fair. Now, if you have never been to the Art-A-Fair, well, let me tell you, it's a great treat! Hundreds of artists gather together to sell their beautiful artwork. I'm lucky, I was invited to Premier Night on Wednesday, June 24, 2009. I can't wait. This is the BEST art show. Why? Because it is not oil paintings only, or seascapes only. It is everything imaginable, from Airbrushers to Ceramists!
Yeah - the Sawdust Festival. I LOVE the Sawdust Festival!
Don't forget, next door, during the weekends, is the Sawdust Festival. Now that is one fun adventure! They have live music, jugglers, artists. It's great fun! One year, when I was there, they had a glass blower doing a live demonstration. Then, if you wanted to try your hand at ceramics, they set you up. The same for printmaking! And usually, it is no charge.
I really enjoy the opportunity to try other forms of artwork. It gives me a great respect for artists that work in other mediums!
So summer is here! That means, not only should we go out and paint, but we should also go out and appreciate other artists artwork!

Great to be in mid-summer! Winter in full swing here not and not much going out for me. Today is miserable - over-cast, cold wind blowing and similar forecast for the rest of the weekend. Enjoy your festivals Terry!
Thank you Maree, I will. These are GREAT. They also have an art show where human beings pose as paintings. I was told that it was great. Maybe I will get a ticket.
