Back to the Mountain!
I really enjoy my summer nights in Yucaipa. The fresh air, the hiking trails, and the live bands that play music. This is the first summer that I'm able to get away and appreciate such things.
The Alley Cats played last night. They were a 50's band. sort of like Shah-Nah-Nah. I really enjoyed that group in the 70's. Anyhow, with the music going, it was great to listen and paint.
Now, this painting may seem a little disjointed. That's because I was trying a few different color combos. Once I got to the point where the combo worked, I would stop. That's why the trees on the left look disjointed. Once I got to the point where the kids looked like one group, I stopped. Etc.
I rarely paint that way. But I am dedicated to learning my new palette.
