New Colors
I am really enjoying my old/new colors. I use mostly my old palette, but got rid of the payne's grey. I love the payne's grey. It makes it sooo easy to create a wonderful backdrop so my foreground elements would come forward. However, after spending some time as an oil painter, I got into mixing my greys from yellow, red and blue, and can't seem to get out of that habit.

Payne's grey is great for plein air painters. It makes mixing colors real quick. Especially since we play beat the clock with the sun.

Todays whole point in painting was creating a focal area. I believe I did that nicely. I'm sure that you can guess where my focal area is. It is where my lightest light, and my darkest dark is. There are other ways to create a focal area, but I'll save that for another interesting blog.

Live, love and paint,

Terry
